February 14 In memory of Brett Eldon WhiteToday is a sad day. My first born Brett went to heaven 15 years ago today. It is an emptiness that nothing can fill. I have been blessed with 3 beautiful children and I am so thankful for them. Yet that void is still there. I long for what could of been, what should have been. I will never forget my little "short stop in the sky". Brett you and Grandpa be good up there and I will see you in my dreams. I love you! February 11 My Baby turns 14 today. WOW! Can it be possible? My little girl turned 14 today. I remember like it was yesterday the tiny baby girl with a faint patch of strawberry blonde hair being whisked past me and taken straight to the NICU. I can remember longing to hold her and the uncertainties that go along with having a preemie. I can remember the first time I got to hold her. I remember being the proudest mommy in the world the day I got to bring my little "Dolly" home being ever so careful to keep her enviroment as germ free as possible. Where did the time go? A lot has changed over the past 14 years but one thing has not I am still the proudest mommy in the world. I have been blessed with a beautiful young lady and I am forever grateful for the gift the good Lord bestowed on me Feb.11,1993. Happy Birthday Baby girl. By the way she gets older but I have decided my age will not change. No more birthdays for me... February 07 Tami.... Ok so I have had this space for a long time now and never did anything with it. After some inspiration from Cesar (Tami's husband) I decided if he can manage to keep his friends and family up to date in the midst of war I can do it from the comfort of home. So I will dedicate this blog to Tami and Cesar. Oh crap, now that I said that I cant think of what to say. Hmm I guess some people are better at this than others. Tami is hands down one of the most inspirational people I have ever met. As I said Cesar is in Iraq and doing his part to enable our safety and freedom. While Cesar is there Tami continues to ensure her family will thrive. Tami works a full time job in nursing then she comes home and takes care of her grandparents. This is no small task as they both have alzheimers and make life a challenge few could or should I say would take on. She is a proud mommy to two teenagers who both have active lives as well. I think she does all of this and so much more with grace and honor. I am amazed by her strength and commitment. I just finished reading Cesars blog to his wife and it was beautiful. It sums Tami up as Cesars wife but there is so much more to both of them. They are special people. Two of the most unselfish people I have ever met. They do things for people with no expectations. I am blessed to know them both. Tami I miss you so much! Thank you for your friendship...Cesar thanks for the inspiration to get this space started....
June 08 HelloHello friends and family, I thought it might be fun to put together a little web site to keep everyone up to date on the kids. They are all growing up so fast. McKenzie is 12 years old and finisihing up her 6th grade year. Jr. High has been an adjustment but she has handled it well. I am so proud of her she has managed to stay true to herself and is doing fantastic in school even with the accelerated program she is in. She is istill in GATE and is also in GEMS (another academic program) she works hard but she loves it. She has just completed her 4th year in cheerleading and loves it. I took on coaching for her Jr. High School and have a great group of girls (23 of them). Joshua is 9 now (time flies) he is a great kid. He still loves riding his motorcycle. He spends as much time as he can with that. He also has been in baseball playing both winter and spring ball for the past 5 years. He loves to knee board and is learning to water ski. He is my little extreme sport dare devil. He has also had a successful year in school this year. Completing his 3rd grade year. We have finally with the help of many people found a way to help him learn. He uses a special computer to do all his work on called an alpha smart. He has had to master typing as he still can not write. He has severe dyslexia and dysgraphia so he has had to work reallly hard but he does the same work as the other kids and managed to make honor roll. He is a trooper. A great kid if I do say so myself. That brings me to Trevor. He is 5 and cute as can be. A handful I must admit. He always has something to say and I mean always. He starts kindergarten this coming August. Boy, those teachers have a tiny whirlwind coming and they have no idea what is about to hit them. I must admit that he can bring a smile to my face even on the worst days. He is pretty spectacular especially when I think back to the tiny, frail one pound baby he started out as. SO I will listen to his every story and just thank God for him each new day. As you can see I am pretty blessed these days with my children. Busy, yes but I would not have it any other way. I pretty bad about these things but I will try and keep you all up to date. Love, Kelly |
